Principles for Responsible Investment Signatory

We are pleased to announce that US Agriculture is now a signatory of the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). We believe this firm-wide commitment shows our willingness to put words into action when it comes to being good stewards of farmland assets on behalf of our clients.

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. Supported by the United Nations, it works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate, and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole. Launched in New York in 2006, the PRI has grown to more than 5,000 signatories, managing more than US $121 trillion. For more information, visit www.unpri.org.

David Atkin, CEO at the PRI, comments, “We’re pleased to welcome US Agriculture as a new signatory to the PRI. Our collective ongoing work across the spectrum of responsible investment issues is a key step in delivering long-term value. We look forward to continuing this work alongside US Agriculture in the future.”

In addition to committing to the PRI’s principles, US Agriculture’s farmland assets were recently certified to the Leading Harvest Farmland Management Standard. This nonprofit organization’s standard is a third-party audited certification that serves to provide assurance for the sustainability of farmland management.

We believe that ensuring the sustainability and productivity of our farmland assets enhances our ability to maximize returns for our clients. You can learn more about our approach to sustainability by visiting www.us-agriculture.com.
