Sustainability Initiatives

Sun, soil, water, and air are necessary for all life, and US Agriculture takes great pride in shaping and adapting our operating methods to preserve these resources for future generations. While we have historically taken steps to be good stewards of the land we acquire and manage, starting in 2021 we enrolled all our farmland acres with the Leading Harvest Standard, an ESG certification focused on Farmland Management. The standard provides third-party verification for operations and will guide continuous improvement through annual audits.

The Leading Harvest Standard challenges participants to monitor and make continuous improvement in their farm management system based on 13 sustainable farming Principles, 13 Objectives, 33 Performance Measures and 71 Indicators.
